What is Knowledge Check-Up?
Knowledge Check-Up is a live, interactive review session designed to reinforce learning and deepen understanding of the Every Body’s Human Biology curriculum. Offered twice a month during the 2024-2025 school year, Knowledge Check-Up provides a unique opportunity to engage with the material in a dynamic format.
Here’s how it works:
- Review with Nurse Jill: Each session begins with a comprehensive review of key concepts led by Nurse Jill, an experienced nurse educator.
- Q&A with Dr. Robin: Following the review, students participate in a live Q&A session with Dr. Robin, where they can ask questions, clarify concepts, and engage in discussions.
To make the most of each session, students should prepare ahead of time using the Knowledge Check-Up workbook. This workbook will help them focus their review and formulate thoughtful questions for Dr. Robin.
Can’t make it to a live session? No problem! Students can always submit their questions directly to Dr. Robin through the “Ask Dr. Robin” feature on the student dashboard. Dr. Robin records video answers to these questions, which are then posted for all students to access.
Knowledge Check-Up is a valuable resource for students who want to:
- Solidify their understanding: Review key concepts and ensure a strong grasp of the material.
- Engage with the instructors: Interact directly with Nurse Jill and Dr. Robin in a live setting (or through “Ask Dr. Robin”).
- Connect with fellow students: Learn alongside a community of peers and participate in collaborative discussions.
While Knowledge Check-Up is an optional add-on to the core curriculum, it provides a valuable opportunity to enhance the learning experience and ensure mastery of human biology concepts.
